Human Japanese Intermediate App Reviews

I highly recommend finishing "human Japanese beginner" before this one. But I can find no better way to start learn long Japanese. Im a college student, and this is better than my classes at my university.

Amazingly well made, its content was written full of concern for the students. I finished both basic and intermediate versions and I liked it immensely! :)

I find that this app is better than Rosetta Stone, and 100x cheaper hahaha Love the first one for beginners and so so sooo happy they brought out an intermediate!

Human Japanese Intermediate teaches informal verbs, new vocabulary, new grammar and updated versions of grammar learnt in Human Japanese Volume 1. It also has cultural notes. I really enjoyed it and have recommended HJ to my friends. It has definitely made a huge impact on my language learning experience!

Awesome app. I recommend using Anki in conjunction with this for memorization of the vocab .

I started learning Japanese with human Japanese and Im excited about this version! Honestly the best place to learn Japanese that Ive found. With the first app I got as much information as one and a half semester at school. This will give you a solid foundation and great understanding of Japanese! Dont miss out :)

So many language apps are just flashcard sets. But knowing hundreds of words doesnt do you any good if you dont know how to put them together into intelligible sentences. Human Japanese actually shows how the language works. Yes, that means it spends lots of time on grammar, but it manages to do so in a way thats actually really interesting, more like decoding a mystery than just giving a bunch of rules to memorize. The quizzes are on the simple side, but still great learning tools. The real genius of the app is in the explanations and HUGE number of example sentences. I highly recommend it!

I really loved the first Human Japanese app. Ive been waiting more than two years for the next level and it doesnt dissappoint! Excellent ui and amazing content! Worth the price x10!

Ive used a lot of Japanese language software and classes—this is so much more fun and engaging. I hope there continues to be later editions to keep me occupied for my subway commutes!

As a new resident of Japan, my redoubled efforts to learn the language are helped immensely by this exceptionally-written, interactive textbook. The grammar and linguistic/cultural foundations in Human Japanese are engaging and downright fun. Between this and a dictionary, I am increasingly successful in reading and speaking with the wonderful people of Japan. A strong recommendation to any would-be gaijin!

...and its interactive, too! I took Japanese in high school, and this app / textbook explains concepts more thoroughly and clearly than any of my teachers did. The interactive quizzes and sound clips are great features as well. My only complaint is that while this app is available on multiple platforms (and at a price that makes buying it more than once palatable), theres no way to log in and access the same user content from different devices. Relatedly, it would be nice if a user could make an in-app purchase to access the full version from the free version, rather than starting over. None of this is a huge deal, since you can unlock chapters and skip around manually, but this is the only real technological flaw in what is otherwise a very well-programmed product. Im still giving it 5 stars; thats how good the content is!

This is the best Japanese language app Ive tried. Very well designed, and clearly produced with the highest standards. Tons of recordings of native speakers help you get your brain accustomed to aural input, so necessary if you really want to hold a real conversation in Japanese. Much faster for intermediate students than Rosetta Stone, and waay less expensive. I am a very satisfied customer.

Very good learning resource, this app teaches you in a way where you gain practical language skills instead of just cramming vocab down you throat. App is excellent for students seeking to improve their understanding of Japanese sentence structure and speaking mannrisms.

I used the beginner Human Japanese app and liked it so much that I got the next one. I hope they make more of these. Its a shame that theyre not so popular.

The way the author describes and examples the language is unbeatable. I have had an affinity to learn Japanese since I was a teenager, but never had the resources or money to learn in a class environment. Outside of having had one class, I have pretty much been teaching myself Japanese since my teenage years. Then I found Human Japanese vol 1. And fell in love with the ease of learning the book offers. I couldnt wait for the second book to come out! And I have to say, it is every bit as good as the first if not improved.
