Human Japanese Intermediate App Reviews

Ive tried many ways to study Japanese and Human Japanese has probably helped me the most. I would still use other methods if you are trying to really learn Japanese. But Human Japanese excels in breaking the language down for the complete beginner and gets you to start thinking in Japanese. Which is vital, as anyone who has tried to directly translate from Japanese to English will soon discover. I do not regret the purchase in the least.

The first Human Japanese was easily the best App on the market for learning Japanese. Human Japanese Intermediate exceeds that and does not disappoint. After finishing the first Human Japanese for beginners, I was empowered to learn more right away. Consequently, I picked up other apps and learned even more advanced Japanese. When Human Japanese Intermediate finally dropped I was thrilled even though I knew that most of the content I surely covered in great detail. Never the less, I forked up the money for a learning experience I would get nowhere else. Sure, I knew most of the material covered, but it is still my favorite Japanese learning tool. There is just so many features. 5 stars.

I loved Human Japanese volume one and when I finished it, I could hardly wait to start this Intermediate app. I still review and test myself on the first app while I learn from this app. Both are well written and engaging. Definitely a fun way to learn Japanese!

Ive tried nearly all the Japanese apps out there and this is BY FAR the best one. Learning Japanese can be a very intimidating experience for a native English speaker but Human Japanese has done a marvelous job. Vol 1 is great but Vol 2 is even better. Hope there are more to come!

Both this and the beginner volume are unbelievably well done. Perfectly clear explanations, excellent organization and pace. Highly recommended. Note to author: the only way I could imagine improving on these textbooks would be with the addition of an index or search facility. Sometimes I know a topic is covered in one of the volumes but I have to skim through each chapter again to find it.

I just bought the bundle (beginner + intermediate apps for $13.99 listed on the Apple App Store) but only the beginner app was downloaded. When I look again, it appears that I havent made the bundle purchase as the price tag appears again. I hope I havent been cheated and I want to know how this is going to be fixed. That said, the beginner app looks promising.

Whats there to say? This app is good. Very good. Well made, carefully thought out... If youre still sitting here in the review section contemplating whether you should plunk down your $9.99, Im telling you – just click "buy" already. You will never regret this purchase.

The first Human Japanese was excellent. This app continues that with a balanced combination of vocab, grammar, and cultural explanation.

Ive owned HJ volume 1 since it was a computer software (and I was 12 years old.) I was on and off with it until my sophomore year of high school, when I finally finished it. I next bought the intermediate app and finished that up my junior year. Now Im 18 and hope to test out of 1 or 2 Japanese classes in my college, and its all thanks to these apps that I have the confidence and skills to do so. Brian and the HJ team have put together the holy grail of modern Japanese learning. Nothing else can even come close to this app, and if there were an app like this for Chinese (or any other language) Id be having a much easier time in school right now! Overall, I loved this app because it taught me every point of grammar necessary to carry on natural conversations while at the same time keeping me 100% interested and engaged with the beautiful and colorful cultural lessons and photography. If I had one suggestion to every aspiring Japanese learner, it would be to not move on until you ace every quiz 100%. Trust me, youll retain everything better. My only regret is that I wish I wouldve written a review sooner! I re-purchased the app on my phone just now because i had the iPad version. Well worth buying again, no complaints. Thank you Human Japanese, for introducing me to my passion for language learning! The plans for my future would not have been the same without this program.

I love learning the Japanese language with this app. So much better than using Rosetta Stone or Primseulr. Its more like a happy medium. Happy learning!

This app is far superior to the various textbooks I have used through my studies. This app will help solidify concepts for you the first time to make your time spent with it as efficient as possible.

The only thing I would add to this and volume 1 would be a way to see all covered vocab in one place.

Ive been through HJ1 and an working through 2, and I couldnt be more impressed with the quality and clarity of this instruction. I think textbooks for not just languages but any subject would do well to follow HJs tone, pace, and thoughtful skill progression. And why would I ever use a language textbook again that didnt let me click on every example sentence to hear its pronunciation?

I started out with the beginner series and moved up. I got to say that Im hooked! The flow is very logical, and there are great hints and insights. I wish that they made an advanced version as I would be here. However, I have a very solid foundation and can progress on my own. Thanks for a great series and teaching me Japanese!
